Had a wonderful with time with the Smirnova family last week.

Grandfather Uri was in town from Russia so they wanted to remember the trip with some family photos and a lovely dinner on the marina.

I adore Grandma and think she looks like a Hollywood actress from back in the day with her terrific style.

Most people dont know this but shooting bands is really what started my photography career. My first photo job ever was for a blue grass album cover at about 18 years old and I also spend a few years on the road shooting for my husband’s band before I ever dove into the world of newborns and families. Those days were a lot different- shooting in film, having to change rolls and actually developing my images, but they are sweet sweet memories.

Grant was an angel and Morgan is a little cherub.

Lizzi Judge is a senior?

Hard for me to believe little Lizzi is a senior this year.

I met her when she was about 14-15 when we traveled together on a trip to Peru.

I told her I had high expectations for her and expected to see leadership and initiative (even though she was younger than most of the team) and she more than rose to the occasion.

Since then I have LOVED getting to know the whole Judge family and have many fond memories working with Mom Lisa on various projects for the city.

This is one special family and especially one special girl.

It was such a pleasure to take these and I hope you enjoy them,

So great to be back up on the website sharing with you.

What a wild ride the last few months of 2011 were: a wedding, mini session, couples, families, expecting mamas & newborns.

As promised, many of my Christmas sessions will be up soon.

First shoot of the new year was with senior Mr. Logan Mayer from Sarasota Christian School .

We shot around downtown at some of my fav spots.
